Welcome to 'My hiking and my pictures' blog!

Hi,
I am Øivind,
I am a person who is fond of hiking and also fond of taking pictures. Those two elements say something about me - the person I am, and what I like to do in my leisure time.

I live in Norway, I have worked for many years in upper secondary education as a teacher. At present I work as a head of an Adult Education department. I enjoy my job, and I enjoy life, hiking and taking pictures.

During the last ten years I have had the luck to participate in some European projects, like Grundtvig and Leonardo partnerships on Adult Education and Validation of Prior Learning http://www.e-valeurop.com/e-valeurop.index.htm, http://sites.google.com/site/validationoflearning/. I also have participated in contact seminars and study visits - all financed by the EU commission. I am very happy to have gotten these possibilities to meet and exchange with many European colleagues in adult education.

In this blog I will share and exchange with whoever would like to read and watch my descriptions and pictures from my hiking experiences in the Norwegian nature, and other places.

For today i have chosen to publish a few pictures from my hiking tours on the 2nd and the 5th of December 2010. I went to our new built cottage at Driva, Oppdal, where I took a walk in the nature on December 2 and december 5. Temperatures minus 17 degrees Celsius the first day and minus 8 degrees Celsius the second!
This picture - Ice Flowers -  is one of the last I took before I - descending from Lia, Driva - fell on the ice and destroyed my Canon 18-55mm objective. I now have to buy a new one!

My hiking tour started at 600 meter over sea level (where our cottage is situated), and ended at approximately 1100 meters over sea level.

The two next pictures I took with my new Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III tele objective lens. I took many more pictures, then I decided to show you just these two -  the best ones!
An airplane floating above everything, into or behind a huge cloud in the sunset. Pictures taken at 900 meters over sea level, from North to South.
The cultivated plaine at approximately 900 meter over sea level, just before the sunset.
